Almond Butter & White Miso Chili Crisp

Combine toasted, slivered almonds, red pepper, chili oil, white miso powder, and almond butter to create this savory chili crisp packed with flavor. As chili crisp grows in popularity, this spicy condiment can be used to compliment any meal! Developed by Chef Henry Hill, Hill's Research Kitchen on behalf of the Almond Board of California .

  • 4.35g Fried Garlic
  • 6.21g Fried Shallots
  • 33.66g Almonds, Toasted, Slivered
  • 2.47g Red Pepper, Course Ground
  • 5.08g White Miso Powder
  • 2.33g Rice Vinegar Powder
  • 4.3g Salt
  • 56.13g Chili Oil
  • 52.78g Almond Butter
  • 1.7g Guajillo Chili Flavor
  • 0.42g Lemongrass Essential Oil
  • 0.62g Roasted Garlic Flavor
  • 0.55g Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 0.25g Red Bell pepper Flavor

Preparation
  1. In a bowl combine the fried garlic, fried shallots, almonds (toasted and slivered), red pepper (course ground), white miso powder, rice vinegar powder, and salt.
  2. Next, in a small sauce pot, add the chili oil and heat to 220F.
  3. Pour over the dry mixture reserved from earlier and then stir in the almond butter.
  4. Next add the guajillo chili flavor, lemongrass oil, roasted garlic flavor, toasted sesame oil, and red bell pepper flavor.
  5. Reserve, covered at room temperature, and use in your favorite recipe.
